Kristin Staroba, MSW / LCSW-C

My work ranges from introducing people trying therapy for the first time, to delving into new waters with those returning to continue their process. I draw on a variety of therapeutic techniques, more than a decade of professional clinical experience, and many years working in the corporate world. In individual, couples, and group psychotherapy for adults, I help people:

Solve problems and make decisions
Enhance strengths
Discover and achieve what they want
Relieve depression and anxiety
Shed destructive behaviors
Create and maintain satisfying relationships
Discover the roots of difficulties
Loosen the grip of guilt and shame
Work through long-term problems and issues
Resolve marital and family issues
Learn effective relationship skills
Cope with illness and loss
Connect to feelings safely
Find satisfaction in their work

I provide both individual and group supervision for psychotherapists working toward licensure and those developing new practices. I am certified to supervise clinical social workers in Maryland.
